React JavaScript Developer

About the Role

400,000 people use Ofir.dk to find a job every month. We want to give them the best user experience possible while helping them find the right next career move. To do that, we are building a new platform from scratch. You will be part of a new team that will be fully dedicated to developing the best job site platform on the market. 

This is an exciting role with senior management exposure, growth opportunity and co-work with all teams in Ofir - Sales, Marketing, BI, Data Science. Responsibilities (what you will do)

• Produce stunning web applications using React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Translate requirements into reusable, secure and scalable code
• Work with other developers in building and deploying features
• Ensure quality of products using regular and methodical testing
• Maintain infrastructure security and software updates for all supported technologies
• Own and drive the constant improvement of the app performance benchmarked against the most common SEO Tools
• Research and identify the latest trends in React and how they can help us improve our PageSpeed scores

Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with the React framework
• Good understanding of web development best practices
• Experience working with Docker and the usual cloud platforms (GCC, AWS)
• A strong understanding of JavaScript inner workings and standards
• Working experience utilizing/calling a RESTful API that supports database applications and JSON/XML data models.
• Solid understanding of OOP design principles
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub

Nice to have

Any experience with the tools or methodologies listed below that you might interact with, will be considered a plus:

• Experience with Redux, React Router, and Hooks
• Exposure to Django and the Python Ecosystem 
• Experience in Unit Testing (React Testing Library, Jest, Enzyme)
• Linux
